Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has lauded captain Babar Azam, who was in sublime touch across formats against Australia. The right-handed batter made his performance count in the Tests, ODIs, and a one-off T20I against the visitors.
Babar is currently among the top batters in the ICC rankings, courtesy of his impressive batting display. Yousuf is pleased with Azam’s performance in recent times and urged the batters to make him a role model.
“Captain Babar Azam is a topclass batter of modern era. His performance is speaking loud. No batter currently is among top four across all formats but only Babar Azam himself. Every batter can learn alot by making Babar Azam as his role model.”
However, despite the phenomenal performance of the 27-year-old, Pakistan lost the three-match Test series 0-1 and the only T20I. The hosts won the ODIs 2-1, with the skipper scoring two hundreds.
