Saba Karim feels it would be difficult for Team India to beat England in the final Test of the series if Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli do not fire with the bat.
The two failed to get going in the Indian Premier League 2022. During a discussion on India News, Saba Karim was asked about the two.
“It will impact the team if big players don’t score runs. So your match-winners must score runs like Joe Root, and Ben Stokes did for England.”
The former Indian selector pointed out that Rohit and Virat will have to resolve the issues themselves.
“Virat and Rohit will have to find a solution themselves as even a coach like Rahil Dravid can’t help them if they can’t come out with a solution.
Rohit, with 368 runs at an impressive average of 52.57, was India’s highest run-getter in the four-Test matches in England. On the other hand, Virat hit 218 runs at an average of 31.14.
