PAK vs ENG 1st Test
The first cricket test between Pakistan and England will start as scheduled on Thursday.

England won the toss and opted to bowl first against New Zealand in the second cricket test at Trent Bridge on Friday.

The match was due to start under a cloudy sky with a bit of wind and a green tinge to the wicket.

It was also starting without Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain who tested positive for COVID-19 on the eve of the match.

Tom Latham will captain the team in Williamson’s absence and said he would have chosen to bowl if he had won the toss.

Michael Bracewell was handed a test debut and will be the Black Cats’ fourth seamer in an all-pace attack in Nottingham.

England was unchanged, having named its team on Thursday.

Teams:

England: Zak Crawley, Alex Lees, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonathan Bairstow, Ben Stokes (captain), Ben Foakes, Matthew Potts, Jack Leach, Stuart Broad, James Anderson.

New Zealand: Tom Latham (captain), Will Young, Devon Conway, Henry Nicholls, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell, Michael Bracewell, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Trent Boult.
