India levelled the three-match T20I after defeating Australia by 6 wickets in the second game. The match was reduced to an eight-over-a-side due to a wet outfield. 

Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited the Aaron Finch-led team to bat first. The visitors accumulated 90/5 in 8 overs with the wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade smashing an unbeaten 43 off 20 balls, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes. 

Chasing 91 to win the contest, it was Rohit Sharma’s show as the India skipper amassed 46 off 20 balls, with the help of 4 sixes and as many fours.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik, who scored 10 off 2 balls and had a strike rate of 500.00, broke MS Dhoni and Ravi Bishnoi’s record. He hit one six and a four.
