The CSK captain will return for IPL 2023 as he doesn't want to bid adieu without thanking the fans of Chennai Super Kings.

MS Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings, is likely to share the screen with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s movie ‘Sooryavanshi’.

The news about his role in a Bollywood flick started after actor Gulshan Grover took it to his official Twitter account to share a picture with the former India skipper.

“On the sets of #Sooryavanshi with brother @msdhoni What? Is MS Dhoni acting in the film or happened to film in the same studio? @akshaykumar,” the Tweet read.

Earlier, Dhoni had ruled out a career in Bollywood. According to him, acting was not his cup of tea.

“You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage. I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that,” Dhoni said in an interactive session with fans.

MSD is currently with Team India as a mentor in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.
