Former India captains Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are good friends and shared the dressing room for a long time across formats. Dhoni played a big role in grooming Virat as a captain, and the 34-year-old has admitted Mahi’s contribution to his career. Kohli recently shared a story on Instagram about MSD that went viral in no time.
Kohli shared a picture of a water bottle with Dhoni’s image and wrote, “He’s everywhere. Even on the water bottle.”
Virat mentioned Dhoni while talking about the toughest phase in his career.
“The only person who reached out to me was MS Dhoni and for me it is a blessing to share such a bond with him. Our frienship is based on a mutal respect,” Kohli said on RCB Podcast.
“It is one of the things he mentioned in the message that when you are expected to be strong and looked at as strong person, people forget to ask how are you doing? It hit me,” he added.
