Australian cricketer David Warner recently surpassed Virat Kohli to become the fifth-highest run-scorer in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat while playing for London Spirit against Manchester Originals in The Hundred competition on August 12. Despite Warner’s strong performance, which included 12 fours and a six at a strike rate of 139, his team could not chase down 164.

Warner has quickly made a mark in The Hundred 2025, leading the scoring charts with 150 runs from three matches. He boasts an impressive average of 75.00 and a strike rate of 141.50, including two half-centuries. However, London Spirit have lost two out of the three matches they’ve played so far, and Warner will be hoping that his consistent form can help the team.

If Warner manages to score 27 more runs in his next match, he will surpass Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik (13,571 runs) and claim the fourth spot in the all-time T20 run-scorer rankings. Warner has accumulated 13,545 runs from 419 matches at an average of 36.80 and a strike rate over 140.
