India were in trouble when they lost two wickets on Day 2 of the Johannesburg Test. There were fewer hopes from Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, considering their past performances. However, they have proved everyone wrong and are currently playing match-winning knocks for the country.
Ajinkya and Rahane have stitched a 100-run partnership with their careers on the line. With their most recent individual milestones, they are leading the list of most 50+ scores in the World Test Championship since 2019. While Pujara has 12 such scores, Rahane is in the second spot with 11 as far Indian players are concerned. Rahane was dismissed after scoring 58.
Even greats like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma couldn’t touched this mark.
