Former India player and 1983 World Cup winner, Kris Srikkanth has urged the current chief selector Chetan Sharma to select the right cricketers for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.a
India failed to reach the knockout stage of the global event in 2021. Pakistan and New Zealand thumped the Virat Kohli-led team, which ended India’s chances of making it to the semis.
Many questions were raised on team selection after India’s mediocre display. Hardik Pandya, who was unfit to bowl, was kept in the Playing XI throughout the tournament. The team management and national selectors were held responsible for making Pandya a part of the squad.
Meanwhile, Kris also gave Ravi Shastri’s name if the wise men need any suggestion.
“Chetan Sharma should select the correct team this time for the T20 World Cup. If he needs any guidance, he can call me and Ravi Shastri. We’ll give him a good guidance.”
