Mumbai Indians 5th IPL title
CSK were given a revised target of 171 in 15 overs, which they chased with smart batting from many players.

Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win their 5th Indian Premier League title. MS Dhoni’s led team equalled Mumbai Indians’ record for the most number of titles.

Gujarat Titans had slammed 214/4 in 20 overs, with Sai Sudharsan (96) and Wriddhiman Saha (54) leading the batting unit.

However, the match was stopped due to rain. The wet outfield led to a lengthy delay. CSK were given a revised target of 171 in 15 overs, which they chased with smart batting from many players.

CSK were in a spot of bother in the last over after Mohit Sharma conceded just 4 runs on the first four balls. Needing 10 runs off the last two balls, Ravindra Jadeja slammed a six and four to seal the game in his team’s favour.

Devon Conway (47), Shivam Dube (32 not out), Ajinkya Rahane (27), Ruturaj Gaikwad (26), Ambati Rayudu (19) and Ravindra Jadeja (15 not out) batted beautifully.
