The bus driver and conductor who saved Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant’s life were felicitated by Panipat Bus Depot and are expected to be honoured by the state government of Haryana.
Panipat Bus Depot GM K Jangra said that bus driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet immediately ran towards the car to help Pant.
“We have honoured them, the state governmet will too honour them for the work of humanity,” he said.
Meanwhile, conductor Paramjeet confirmed that as soon as they took Rishabh Pant away from the car, the vehicle caught fire and burned down within 5-7 seconds.
“He suffered major injuries on his back. He informed us that he is an Indian team cricketer,” he said.
Earlier on Friday, Rishabh Pant met with an accident while traveling to meet his mother. The 25-year-old suffered injuries on his back, forehead and leg.
