The security personnel in Chandigarh were on high alert after two bullet shells were found in the bus being used to transport the Sri Lankan team. The recovery was made during the routine check up by the police officials.
The two shells were recovered from the luggage compartment of the bus that was transporting the visitors from team hotel in Chandigarh , The Lalit, to the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
The bus was parked in the hotel’s complex and the shells were recovered when the bus was being searched using metal detectors.
The IT Park Police Station hasn’t lodged any FIR. However, the officials have mentioned about the incident in the daily diary register (DDR) report.
The private bus belongs to Tara Brothers. According to police sources, the same bus was recently used for a wedding function.
The celebratory firing is a common occurrence in the weddings across North India. The police are questioning the driver of the bus as well as its owners.
The details of the wedding are still unknown. The investigation will reveal everything.
