Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee has said that four-five players in the current team can lead the Indian Test side. He commented two weeks after Virat Kohli’s resignation as Test skipper. Last year, the 33-year old stepped down from his role in T20Is and then was sacked as ODI captain.
“It is Virat Kohli’s call and I cannot say much as I was busy in the Big Bash League and the Ashes at hoome. There are four-five players who can lead India in Tests,” the former player told ANI on the sidelines of Legends League Cricket in Oman.
“The Indian managemnet will have to decide on the next skipper in red-ball cricket,” he added.
Lee also praised Pat Cummins for leading Australia to a 4-0 win in the Ashes 2021-22.
