The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB has decided to postpone the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 due to COVID-19 with immediate effect.

Following a meeting with the franchise owners, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 with immediate effect. 

The decision has been taken for the health and well-being of players and support staff after a total of seven COVID-19 cases were reported in the competition, which had started on 20 February.

The apex body is now planning to arrange safe and secure passage of participants from all six PSL franchises, and repeat PCR tests, vaccines and quarantine facilities.

Wasim Khan, PCB chief executive, and Babar Hamid, Director-Commercial, will hold a press conference at the National Stadium in Karachi at 3 pm to provide further updates.
