He built a good partnership with captain Rohit Sharma, who hit 53 off 39 balls, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes.

In the previous match against Pakistan, Kohli led India to an emphatic win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

His 82 off 53 balls took the team to the finishing line with 4 wickets in hand. Virat came to the ICC T20 World Cup after his magnificent performances in the Asia Cup 2022 and against Australia and South Africa at home.
