India off-spinner Washington Sundar on Thursday took to his official Twitter handle and shared a picture of himself having breakfast in England.
Indian players are currently enjoying their time away from cricket after the conclusion of the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton. They have been granted a three-week break from bio-bubble life.
They will assemble in Durham on July 14 to prepare for the upcoming series against England before heading to Nottingham for the first Test.
Meanwhile, sharing a picture with his meal on the micro-blogging platform, Sundar wrote, “To eat well in England, You should have breakfast three times a day! Agree?”
Here’s Washington Sundar’s tweet:
Earlier, Washington Sundar was left out of the 15-member squad for the WTC final against Kane Williamson-led side. The 21-year-old along with Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur, and Mayank Agarwal were kept out of the Playing XI as the team went with veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
However, the decision didn’t work well for India as they lost the summit clash by 8 wickets.
Virat Kohli and his team will now be looking to bounce back in the five-match Test series against Joe Root-led England which is set to kick-off from August 4. India have not won a Test series in England since 2007.
