Indian journalist Boria Majumdar has decided to send a defamation notice to the Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha for revealing their WhatsApp messages. The veteran journalist, in a video put out on social media, said that WhatsApp chat shared by Saha was a doctored one. Saha had not revealed the name but said on Saturday that he has updated the BCCI about the incident.

“I have informed the committee about everything related to the threatening messages. They have asked me to keep mum till the investigation is completed,” Saha told reporters after appearing before the board vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and IPL governing council member Prabhtej Bhatia.

After being dropped for the Test series between India and Sri Lanka, Saha shared screenshots of his conversation with one the senior Indian journalists. However, the 37-year old player didn’t respond to his request for an interview.

“You did not call. Never again will I interview you. I don’t take insults kindly. And I will remember this. This wasn’t something ypu should have done,” the journalist wrote once again.
