India has been hit hard by communal tension between Hindus and Muslims, and instead of bringing them close and together, some politicians are working toward widening the gap between the two religions. According to ABP News, the latest matter is from Khandwa. In a cricket tournament organized by BJP MLA Devendra Verma, the Muslim players have been banned.

The tournament started on April 20, with 32 teams participating in it. The teams which had Muslim players were told to play without them. Some of the players from the Muslim community spoke to the police to register their complaints against discrimination based on religion.

When the MLA was asked about his reaction, Devendra Verma said he is not against any religion, but some of the Muslim players had created a ruckus four years ago, and the tournament could not be organized for four years. This time it was decided to keep Muslim cricketers away from the tournament to maintain peace.
