Amol Muzumdar feels that even though the visitors have a brilliant chance of scripting history, it would be wrong to rule out South Africa completely.

India are scheduled to play three Test matches in South Africa. With the rising cases of Covid-19 in South Africa, the visitors will have to follow strict guidelines. The selectors are due to announce jumbo squad for the red-ball matches.

However, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shubman Gill and Ishant Sharma are doubtful for the tour of South Africa, according to Indian Express.

They haven’t recovered from the injuries they sustained during India-New Zealand Test series.

While Axar and Gill played the second and final Test in Mumbai, Jadeja and Ishant were ruled out of the match at the Wankhede.

India have enough players to replace Gill and Ishant, but Patel and Jadeja are irreplaceable at the moment.
