India will be without the services of star wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan after he was ruled out of the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka at Dharamshala. He had suffered a blow on his head during the second match, and was admitted to the hospital for further checkups.
The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Kishan was taken to the hospital, and he was declared fine after a CT scan. However, the medical team of the board will continue to monitor him for concussion symptoms.
Mayank Agarwal is expected to replace the young player, and will open the innings alongside Rohit Sharma. Sanju Samson will don the wicket-keeper’s hat.
Kishan had amassed 89 runs off 56 balls in the opening game. His knock was laced with 10 fours and 3 sixes, and the 23-year old was named the Man of the Match for his brilliance display. However, he lost his concentration after being hit on the head in Dharamshala, and accumulated 16 runs off 15 balls before his dismissal.
