Sri Lanka batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa has withdrawn his retirement from international cricket, eight days after sending the letter to Sri Lanka cricket.
He had bid adieu to cricket with immediate effect, citing family obligations for his decision.
In his retirement letter, Rajapaksa wrote: “I have very carefully considered my position as a player, husband and am taking this decision looking forward to fatherhood and associated familial obligations.”
Actually, he was not happy with the new fitness policies introduced by the cricket board as he thought it would impact his power game.
However, Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa on Sunday (Jan. 09) had urged the attacking batter to reconsider his call.
