Harbhajan Singh has backed the Indian player to hit six sixes in one over of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League.

Harbhajan Singh slammed David Warner after he hit a six on the two-bounce delivery bowled by Mohammad Hafeez in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup. Actually, the ball had slipped out of the hands of the bowler and the left-handed batter dispatched the misguided delivery for a six.

Speaking on the whole episode, Bhajji stated Warner was not right on his part. He even recalled past incidents when players like Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist went against the rules of the game.

Harbhajan cited an example when Ponting behaved like an on-field umpire in one of the games against India. The Aussie player was seen raising his finger probably signalling the Indian player that he was out.

He even spoke about Gilchrist’s habit of walking off after edging a ball despite no signal from the umpire. The legendary spinner believes Gilly showed his gentle side by leaving the field. However, the former Aussie wicket-keeper also had a habit of making false appeals despite knowing that a batter has not nicked the ball.

The Indian spinner further added that Australians shouldn’t talk about the spirit of the game as they are the ones who have tarnished the image of the game most.
