Virat Kohli’s resignation as Test skipper has left the post vacant. Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant are the top contenders. However, according to InsideSport.in, Rohit will soon be named the new skipper in the game’s longest format.
“Without any doubt, Rohit Sharma will be the new Test captain as he is designated vice-captain of the team,” a top BCCI official told to InsideSport.
The selectors will also speak to Rohit on his workload & fitness-related issues. “The workload will be immense, and he will have to work an extra bit to remain fit,” said the BCCI official.
