After the emergence of six positive COVID-19 cases in the Indian camp at the ongoing U-19 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to send five reserve players to West Indies.

Udhay Saharan, Abhishek Porel (wk), Rishith Reddy, Ansh Gosai, and PM Singh Rathore will be sent to the Caribbean.

They will be in six-day isolation after reaching their destination. India have defeated South Africa and Ireland and will play against Uganda in their final Group B match on Saturday.

Earlier, skipper Yash Dhull, vice-captain SK Rasheed and four other players tested positive for the deadly virus and are in isolation at the moment.
