Virat Kohli is likely to play the ODI series between India and South Africa, according to an official of the BCCI. He hasn’t made any request for a short break as reported by media outlets.
“As of now, Virat Kohli hasn’t sent any formal request to skip the ODI Series against South Africa to either BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah, a BCCI official told PTI.
Virat will travel with his family to South Africa. “As things stand today, Virat Kohli is playing the Three ODIs on January 19, 21 and 23 against South Africa,” he added.
It was earlier reported that Virat would skip the ODI matches to be with his family. Virat and Anushka are parents to Vamika who would turn one year old on January 11. The former skipper wanted to go on a short break to celebrate his daughter’s big day.
