Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh all-rounder, is under the scanner for breaching rules and regulations. He has been alleged of breaching the rules in the bio-bubble during the Dhaka Premier Division T20 Cricket League. According to reports, the incident took place on June 4 when Mohammedan Sporting Club didn’t have a game, but the all-rounder was present at the venue in Mirpur.
He practiced along with teammates Asif Hasan and Ruyel Miah. Two net bowlers were also seen, who were not part of Mohammedan.
During the practice, Shakib also came in contact with a mystery man, who was seen clicking pictures.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) called a meeting to discuss the issue.
Kazi Imam, the BCB director, and CCDM chairman stated that investigations are underway and action will be taken.
“We are disappointed by what happened. CCDM and BCB have taken the matter seriously. The safety of teams, cricketers, and officials are of prime importance to us. To form the bio-secure bubble, we had to pay huge amounts and put in loads of hard work,” Imam was quoted as saying in The Business Standard.
