Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has made a bold claim that Babar Azam is Don Bradman and Brian Lara of this era.

Babar Azam is the best batter in the world at the moment. The Pakistan skipper has been unstoppable across formats in international cricket, and his recent knock against Australia had class written over it.

Babar led from the front in the second ODI against the visitors, and the home team ended up winning the game by 6 wickets.

Chasing 349, Azam scored 114 off 83 balls, which was his 15th ODI century. He scripted a match-winning partnership with Imam-ul-Haq, who accumulated 106 off 97 balls.

The leading greats of the game lauded Babar’s knock. Joining the bandwagon, former India player Mohammad Kaif saluted the fighting spirit of the right-handed batsman.

“Babar has skills, technique, and jigar. The perfect mix when you are chasing a big total,” he wrote on Twitter.

The series is leveled 1-1 with one more match to go. The Aaron Finch-led team had comfortably won the opening fixture of the series.
