Pakistan captain Babar Azam went unsold at the Men's Hundred 2022 Draft in the UK.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam went unsold at the Men’s Hundred 2022 Draft in the UK. It was a shock for his fans as he is one of the best players in the world. However, according to a new report, he was not keen to participate in the tournament due to Pakistan’s international assignments.

The star player was placed in the highest category of £125,000 for the Men’s Hundred 2022 Draft. Eight franchises took part in the process, but no one showed interest in Babar.

According to The News, Babar never expressed his intention to play in The Hundred competition. Instead, he wished to stay fresh for international matches, so the franchises did not show interest in him.

“Babar Azam never applied for the NOC for the English summer, that means he was not interested despite being one of the players to be placed in the top category,” a source told The News.

“He could have played for any team as every county team wanted him in their squad. However, he preferred to stay away from hectic schedules to concentrate on the international games fully,” the source added.
