The ICC has announced its Men’s ODI Team of the Year. There is no Indian player in the squad, pretty much like the T20I Team of the Year. Paul Stirling and Janneman Malan are the two openers. While Paul scored 705 runs in 14 matches for Ireland, Malan amassed 509 runs in eight matches for the Proteas.

Babar Azam has been appointed the side’s skipper and has been given a number three batting slot. He accumulated 405 runs at an average of 67.50 with two centuries. The right-handed is followed by his countryman Fakhar Zaman, who aggregated 365 runs at an average of 60.83 with two centuries.

Rassie van der Dussen (342 runs in 8 games at an average of 57), Shakib Al Hasan (277 runs, 17 wickets) and Mushfiqur Rahim (407 runs) are part of the team.

Wanindu Hasaranga (356 runs, 12 wickets), Mustafizur Rahman (18 wickets), Simi Singh (19 wickets) and Dushmantha Chameera ( 20 wickets) are the bowlers.
