Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam took a massive jump in the ICC Men’s Test Players Rankings for batters after his knock of 196 runs in the second innings of the second Test match in Karachi. The 27-year old faced 425 balls in his match-saving effort.
Along with Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan, he took the game out of Australia’s hands.
In the latest released chart, Babar has jumped three places to take the fifth spot.
Rizwan and Usman Khawaja, who scored 160(369) in Australia’s first innings of the Test, have made significant improvements. Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter is at 11th place, while the Aussie opener has jumped eleven places to grab the 13th position.
West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite has moved from 43 to 27 place. He accumulated 160 runs in the first innings, followed by 56* in the second innings of the second Test against England.
