Babar Azam is one of the best batters in international cricket, if not the best. The skipper of Pakistan has played brilliant knocks over the years across formats and continues to dominate rival overs.
In the opening ODI game between Pakistan and Australia, the visitors scored 313/7 in 50 overs. Chasing a big total, Babar scored 57 before Mitchell Swepson dismissed him. The Pakistan batter has completed 4,000 runs in the 50-over format of the game.
He is the second-fastest to the milestone, with just Hashim Amla ahead of him. While the 27-year old touched the feat in 82 innings, Hamla took 81 innings to complete the record.
Viv Richards (88 innings), Joe Root (91 innings), Virat Kohli ( 93 innings), and David Warner (93 innings) are in the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
