Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has made a bold claim that Babar Azam is Don Bradman and Brian Lara of this era. He also rated the current skipper ahead of Pakistan’s greats.
Latif, who played with great Pakistani cricketers during his 11-year-long international career, feels Babar is above all in terms of greatness.
“Babar is ahead of Miandad, Wasim, Waqar, Inzamam, Yousuf, Younus, Saqlain,” Latif said in a YouTube interaction.
The one Pakistan batter Latif rated ahead of Babar and called him the greatest Pakistan batter of all time is Saeed Anwar. Anwar represented Pakistan in 55 Tests and 247 ODIs.
“There has not been a batter-like Saeed Anwar. I have seen him from close quarters, and trust me; he was a special player. He (Babar) is the Bradman and Lara of this era. That is the thing,” Latif added.
