Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif trolled Team India after the Men in Blue’s defeat against England in Australia’s semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Alex Hales and Jos Buttler took their team to a 10-wicket win. The tweet by the PM of Pakistan went viral and was criticized by fans for behaving like a cheap troll. Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Saturday broke his silence on the tweet ahead of the final against the Jos Buttler-led team at the MCG.
Shehbaz Sharif had reminded India of the previous 10-wicket defeat, which came against the Men in Green in the 2021 World Cup.
“So, this Sunday, it’s 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup,” he wrote. Babar was asked about the tweet and whether this post would pressure his team.
“There is no pressure on us. I didn’t see that tweet, so I do not know of it. But we will give our best against England,” he said.
