Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are two of the best players in the game’s shorter formats, but these two went unsold in the draft for The Hundred 2022. Despite their magnificent performance in T20Is last year, the franchises didn’t sign Babar and Rizwan.
Infact, only two Pakistan players were able to get the teams. Wahab Riaz and Naseem Shah were picked in the league’s draft.
The Hundred is a cricket tournament in which each team gets 100 balls. The tournament started a year ago and is now set to enter its second season.
The draft for the second edition was conducted on Tuesday. Super Northern Chargers have roped in Riaz for £75,000, while Welsh Fire have bought Naseem for £60,000.
The Pakistan skipper was a part of the most expensive players’ category, but he did not find any takers. Chris Gayle, Mohammad Amir, and Aaron Finch also went unsold.
