Cummins and Head
Australia captain Pat Cummins and top-order batter Travis Head have refused to accept an offer of AUD 10 million (INR 58.2 crore approx.) from one of the IPL franchises to leave international cricket

Australia’s cricketers are in a state of shock and uncertain whether the Indian Premier League 2025 will restart and some questioning if they will return to the sub-continent nation to compete in the remaining matches of the season. Players left India on Saturday, after the tournament was postponed due to the conflict with Pakistan.

Australians, who were part of the Pakistan Super League, are also heading home, after plans to take the remainder of the tournament to the UAE were called off. There is a possibility of both tournaments getting resume after a ceasefire between the two nations.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, some of the players are not sure if they would return to India after being left shaken. If the IPL resumes next week, shifting all matches to South India would be a better option.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated from the playoff race, with each only having one or two matches left. Pat Cummins, Travis Head and Nathan Ellis are associated with these franchises.

However, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood and several others are competing for the teams, who are still in contention for the next round.

The 18th season will get over on May 25, with Australia to start preparations for the World Test Championship final against South Africa starting on June 11.

The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was abandoned after 10.2 overs in Dharamsala due to Pakistan’s attack on the nearby states.

The English and Wales Cricket Board are ready to host the remaining contests.
