Australia captain Mitchell Marsh has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Oman in their last match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning
“We will bowl first as it is a fresh wicket. When things don’t go your way, the noise back home happens. We respect that,” Mitchell Marsh said.
Oman skipper Jatinder Singh would have batted first had he won the toss, and he is happy with the outcome.
“We would have batted first as the pitch is good for batting. This tournament has been a learning curve. The boys will take a lot of positives from the tournament, and we will bounce back stronger. The boys are looking forward to playing against Australia,” he said.
