Australia suffered another humiliating defeat against India, as the Pat Cummins-led side lost the Delhi Test by six wickets to trail the series 0-2 and concluded another Test match within three days. Notably, the baggy greens lost 16 wickets to spinners in both games, and their shot selection got heavily criticised.
Australian experts and fans around the globe bashed the visitors for excessively depending on sweep shots and giving away wickets cheaply. Interestingly, former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja too assessed Australia’s situation and opined his views.
Appearing on his YouTube channel, Raja slammed Australia and David Warner, in particular, who was subbed off mid-match after sustaining a concussion following a lethal Mohammed Siraj bouncer that struck him on the head.
Raja said that the end of Warner’s Test career is near. “Warner’s batting is 50-50. He might soon be removed from the Test team. He has failed in the last two years despite a double hundred, and you cannot stop the young players from coming in for long.”
Notably, Warner scored a double hundred against South Africa in the boxing day Test match last year, but besides that, he has failed with the bat. The southpaw scored 1,10, and 15 in this series.
Also, the latest reports suggest that Warner is likely to be out of the remainder of the series as he also sustained an elbow fracture.
