The 2nd game of the Ashes will commence on June 28 at the Lord’s. Australia won the first game by two wickets, but Ollie Robinson and Usman Khawaja stole the limelight because of an altercation.
Notably, Robinson started the things when he abused Khawaja after picking up his wicket in the first innings. The right-arm seamer had remarked, ‘Fuc*** Pri**’. Things turned ugly when Khawaja and Robinson had a heated exchange in the 2nd innings before James Anderson intervened.
Things did not end there for Robinson, as he landed in more trouble after he dragged former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting into the matter. The 29-year-old was not apologetic for his sledging and had accused Ponting and Australian cricketers of doing the same.
It led to several former Australian cricketers targeting Ollie and calling him ‘fat-mouth’, ‘No.1 Villain’, and ‘Slow learner’. In recent events, a video has been doing rounds on the internet, where India skipper Virat Kohli can be seen sledging Robinson during India’s 2021 tour of England, which has delighted the fans.
“How boring was your innings? Maybe, that’s how you survive in a test match. Come on, big mouth (Robinson), Gonna bring your sheets today? “ said Kohli to the 29-year-old pacer. After his sledging, Mohammed Siraj bowled a fiery bouncer and gave a death star to Robinson. Here is the video.
The fans demanded Australia to copy the same aggression and give it back to Robinson in the Lord’s Test.
