Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar was unhappy with ICC’s verdict on the Indore pitch, which was given three demerit points and a poor rating after the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy didn’t last three days.
Gavaskar also brought Gabba’s pitch in between while questioning ICC’s verdict and accused the apex body of bias as the match between Australia and West Indies didn’t enter the third day.
But Australia’s legend Mark Taylor is not convinced by what Gavaskar said.
“I know the curator left a lot of grass on the pitch, and he was wrong. However, the track was the same for South African and Australian seamers. I don’t think there was any skulduggery going on at the Gabba. In Indore, the pitch was poorly prepared, and it became a lottery, which didn’t favor India at all,” Taylor said.
“It probably brought Australia’s spin bowlers into the game a lot more than Indian bowlers.”
