Australia Test captain Pat Cummins spoke to reporters after landing in Pakistan, crediting the PCB for making the players feel safe. The pacer said that current players are lucky to play in the sub-continent country, something the previous generations missed.

The team led by Cummins landed in Pakistan on Sunday. The media wasn’t allowed to cover Australia’s arrival due to security reasons. Cricket Australia has named a strong squad to compete in Pakistan after 24 years.

The security personnel escorted the visitors to the hotel, making them feel ‘incredibly safe’. The 28-year old captain feels the team can concentrate on cricket with proper arrangements in place.

“We feel safe and have been well looked after by the Pakistan Cricket Board. There was a lot of security and we were taken to the team hotel from the airport. We are lucky to be surrounded by a lot of professionals,” he said.

“One of the factors we wanted to be sure before coming to Pakistan was not security but biosecurity. Everyone has done a good job and we can enjoy cricket here after 24 years,” he added.

Aussie cricketers will have to quarantine for 24 hours. However, they can start their practice on Monday, provided they don’t test positive for COVID-19.
