Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently represented Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021, has promised to buy and distribute N95 masks to help the people of India in the fight against COVID-19.
The 2nd wave of COVID-19 has hit India hard and the country is recording over 3.5 lakh cases regularly. The death toll is rising on a daily basis as the country is facing a scarcity of Oxygen cylinders and other medical resources.
In these testing times, celebrities, and even common people are doing their bit in the fight against the novel infection. Ashwin, who had left the IPL bi0-bubble to be with his COVID-hit family, has also extended his support in the fight against COVID-19.
“N 95 masks can be washed and reused. I am happy to buy and give it to people who can’t afford it! Please let me know ways to distribute them if you or anyone on my timeline knows how,” replied to fans query.
Last week, Ashwin’s wife, Prithi, had revealed that 10 members of her family had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, he had to leave the bio bubble. However, the tournament was postponed indefinitely on May 4 due to 6 confirmed cases in different camps.
