The Indian cricket team has started preparing for the ICC T20 World Cup. The team management gives different players chances to find an ideal combination. As far as fast bowling is concerned, several candidates are in line to be part of the event.
As far as the fast bowlers are concerned, Ashish Nehra has named the quartet he thinks should get the chance. However, the former India player didn’t name Harshal Patel and Avesh Khan in his list.
“The T20 World Cup is far away. If the squad for the World Cup is to be announced tomorrow, there is only one pace bowler from this team who will make it, and he is Siraj. So my choice for the global event would be Siraj, Bumrah, Shami and Prasidh Krishna. We have seen what he can do, and after these four comes Deepak Chahar,” Nehra told Cricbuzz.
Mohammed Siraj, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, and Avesh Khan are part of the squad in the ongoing T20I series between India and West Indies.
Nehra also lauded skipper Rohit Sharma for backing Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been out of form in recent times.
“It’s good to see that Rohit Sharma is backing Bhuvneshwar Kumar because he is an experienced bowler.”
