Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif has hailed Rohit Sharma, saying that anything he touches turns to gold. Kaif lauded Rohit’s masterstroke to promote Shreyas Iyer to No.3 spot in the ongoing three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in absence of Virat Kohli.
“Be careful to shake hands with Rohit Sharma these days. Anything he touches turns to gold. Shreyas at No.3, rotation of players, bowling changed. Every move, a master stroke,” Kaif tweeted.
The Men in Blue are undefeated in 11 T20Is and is just one win away from equalling the world record.
Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 74 off 44 balls while Ravindra Jadeja contributed with 45 not out off 18 balls to help the hosts beat the visitors by 7 wickets in the second contest.
With this victory, India have sealed the series in their favour with one more match to go. The third game is scheduled to be played on Sunday in Dharamshala.
