Australia’s white-ball captain Aaron Finch wants Pakistan skipper Babar Azam to play Big Bash League (BBL) in 2022. According to Finch, Pakistan players are talented and more players should come to play down under in the T20 league.
After winning the Test series, Australia lost the ODI series. The visitors won the first ODI, but Pakistan made a resounding comeback and won the last two matches. Babar, who scored 276 runs at an average of 138 in the series, was adjudged player of the series.
“Pakistan players are very talented. I think world cricket is better when Pakistan are playing well, and world cricket is better when they have the chance to play in our domestic league,” Finch was quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
“I asked Babar if he can play for Melbourne Renegades, and he certainly is, and hopefully, we can sign him by tomorrow,” Finch joked. “If Babar Azam is available to play Big Bash, any franchise would sign him,” he added.
