Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have signed Andrew Tye as a replacement for the injured England fast bowler Mark Wood for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Wood suffered an elbow injury during the first Test between England and West Indies earlier this month and was ruled of the remaining two Tests.
In 32 T20Is for Australia, Tye has taken 47 wickets. The right-arm pacer, who has been a part of 27 IPL matches & has taken 40 wickets, will join the KL Rahul-led franchise for the price of INR 1 crore.
Lucknow, who will be making their IPL debut this season, will start their campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 28 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
