Star all-rounder Andre Russell has been told to stay two meters away from every living thing in the ongoing Big Bash League match

Star all-rounder Andre Russell has been told to stay two meters away from every living thing in the ongoing Big Bash League match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunders.

Russell is making his Melbourne Stars debut after reaching Australia earlier this week.

He was quarantined for 72 hours in Sydney and spent Thursday night in Melbourne.

Cricket Australia has allowed him to play today’s game under strict Covid-19 guidelines.

He entered the MCG from a different gate and lift to reach the main area. He has been allotted a different change room. He is using a different dugout at the moment.

Russell cannot high five after wickets; glove punch his batting partner or go within two metres of a rival player.
