India have always fallen short against Australia in women’s cricket. They recently lost the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semi-final to the Aussies by 5 runs. Team India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur was run-out which changed the scenario in Australia’s favor.
While Harmanpreet called the moment “unlucky,” Australia’s Alyssa Healy took a brutal dig at the India skipper.
“It was funny. Belinda Clarke messaged me and said, well done for removing the bails. I don’t generally don’t do it as it is a waste of time,” Healy told ABC sport ahead of Australia’s final against host nation South Africa.
“But this time, I felt the need to take the bails off, and I went with the flow,” she added.
Healy then took a dig at Harmanpreet’s can’t be unluckier than this comment.
“It was bizarre play. Harmanpreet can say what she wants. She could have crossed the crease if she had put in a better effort. So, we’ll take it.”
