Abhishek Sharma has equalled Virat Kohli’s record in the Asia Cup. The southpaw hit a half-century in the Super 4 match against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It was Sharma’s second consecutive fifty in the Continental Cup, making him the second Indian batter after Virat Kohli to achieve the feat in the history of the tournament.
Abhishek didn’t slow down after decimating Pakistan in the previous game and went on to amass 75 runs off 37 balls, with his runs coming at a strike rate of 202.70. He struck 6 boundaries and 5 maximums. Unfortunately, he was run out because of a mix-up with captain Suryakumar Yadav.
