Former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar has encouraged Virat Kohli to forget about his captaincy record and focus on his batting.

Aakash Chopra believes Virat Kohli doesn’t need a break, but the final call lies with the man himself. Kohli scored 8 and 18 in the first two ODIs of the series.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “There have been many talks that Virat should be rested, that he is not having a good time, take a break now. I will never keep that proposal in front of the 33-year old. It is fine if he decides to go on a break.”

The former India opener pointed out that Kohli might want to play all the matches to regain his form.

“You are talking about Virat Kohli. He is still a legend despite his poor form. When you go through the bad form, we all have gone through that more compared to Kohli; you want to play regularly at times. You don’t want a break.”
