Budding Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal is in the form of his life. He has stunned everyone with his batting display for Mumbai and played a big role in taking his side to their 47th Ranji finale.
Yashasvi missed out on his 4th consecutive hundred for Mumbai when he was dismissed on 78 by Madhya Pradesh bowler Anubhav Agarwal.
The 20-year-old amassed 497 runs in 5 innings, at a Bradman-Esque average of 99.40. He has struck three centuries and a half-century in this season.
The youngster has revealed whose guidance and motivation inspired his performance in this Ranji term.
He said time with Rajasthan Royal helped him polish his skills and credited Jos Buttler for his run-scoring spree.
Jaiswal, who opens the innings with Buttler in IPL 2022, stated that the Englishman helped him immensely, and he followed his tips.
He revealed Buttler asked him to play good shots and stay focused.
“I try to follow his tips, which have helped me. Watch the ball, understand the situation and keep playing good cricketing shots,” Jaiswal said in a video shared by BCCI.
Jaiswal made his debut in 2019, but his Under-19 commitments held him from participating in the competition. And since his return in 2022, the player has been wreaking havoc in the domestic circuit.
